Sunday, March 15, 2015
9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

This talk will include two exhibits.

"Embodiments: Masterworks of African Figurative Sculpture" This selection of sculptures from sub-Saharan Africa pays homage to the figure in African art. Includes classic and iconic sculptures as well as more unusual examples that challenge commonly held assumptions about African art.

"Botticelli to Braque: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland" Includes works by many of the greatest painters from the Renaissance to the early 20th century. This exhibition continues the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco's tradition of presenting works from acclaimed museums around the world.

This will be an artist-led talk with Binta Ayofemi, an artist who lectures on art and design at SFMOMA, Stanford University, and California College of the Arts.

Join us afterwards for coffee or lunch at the museum cafe. The cost is $20 plus admission to the museum (purchased from the museum.) This event is a joint event of the Harvard and Radcliffe Clubs of SF. It is open to members of the clubs and their guests. RSVP directly to rcsfmuseum@fastmail.fm
