Hike the 9 Mile Lake Chabot Loop

Walk off those extra holiday calories!

The 315-acre lake was closed to recreation for 91 years. Legislation passed in the 1960s opened the lake for controlled recreational uses. Currently, the lake serves as a standby emergency water supply.

Most the 9 mile hike is flat, but there are a few hills and the cumulative elevation gain will be about 500 ft.
