Tutor Refugees with 1951 Coffee Company in Oakland!
After the practice session, we'll do a mock customer session in 1951's practice cafe, and you'll get all the free coffee you can drink! This will be a very memorable and unique experience, and you'll have an opportunity to help refugees who have fled oppression from all over the world.
1951 Coffee Company is a non-profit specialty coffee organization seeking to promote the well-being of the refugee community in the Bay Area. 1951 provides job training and employment to refugees and asylees while educating the surrounding community about refugee life and issues.
