About Us...

Founded in 1874, The Harvard Club of San Francisco is the fourth oldest Harvard Club in the world, striving to advance its three core missions:

  1. Community service,
  2. Interviewing candidates for admission to Harvard College, and
  3. Organizing social and educational events.
We serve all alumni of Harvard University regardless of school or degree. Our board is composed of graduates from almost every school at Harvard: Law, Business, Education, Divinity, Government, GSAS, and College. Our membership also includes former Harvard instructors, current students, and parents of current and past students.

Unlike Boston and New York, the we do not have a physical location. Instead, we leverage venues all around the city for our events and charge a very modest membership fee of only $60 per year ($30 for recent graduates) to support our events, website, and newsletter.

Would you like to sponsor the Harvard Club of San Francisco?

The Harvard Club of San Francisco offers opportunities for a limited number of sponsors to partner with us in our activities throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Below is an overview of the Harvard Club of San Francisco and our sponsorship packages.

The Harvard Club of San Francisco is an official Harvard Club, approved and licensed by the Harvard University Alumni Association. We serve roughly 13,000 Harvard alums in the San Francisco Bay Area. With a robust event schedule of approximately 100 events each year, we are one of the most active Harvard Clubs worldwide. The Club’s largest, annual events are our Holiday Reunion and Annual Dinner. We also offer more frequent, ongoing programs such as our Classic Fiction Book Club, our Founders Series and the Quarterly

Meeting of the Harvard Angels. Did you know we also conduct interviews for every high school student applying to Harvard College from Northern California? We also maintain a robust calendar of community service activities. You have probably heard of our inspiring Early College Awareness Program (ECAP) for first-generation college students.
