A Preview of What to Expect
The iPad offers a whole new set of possibilities for publishers. But textbooks, converted to text-on-a-screen without regard for the content, become Frankensteins of the digital reader world. So, every semester, students still spend hundreds of dollars to lug heavy, static textbooks around campus. How do you get textbook content, and other complex print works, onto an iPad or other tablet device in a way that actually provides a better experience? Inkling has built textbooks that are beautiful and dynamic; they engage students and reduce costs. And they've worked with the big publishers to do it. Considered by many to be one of the hottest startups in town, Inkling's product has received rave reviews from Wired, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Don't miss Matt and Josh talk about how their company is defining the very future of publishing.
