Teague Hill Open Space Preserve Habitat RestorationTeague Hill Open Space Preserve Habitat Restoration

Please join us on a community service habitat restoration project. We'll help maintain Teague Hill Open Space Preserve by removing French Brooms.

French Brooms are invasive, non-native perennial shrubs that displace native plants, degrade soil conditions, and exacerbate wildfire dangers.

This project does not require a long or strenuous hike, but we will be walking on steep and uneven terrain. We will be using tools and hand pulling invasive French Broom. Please see https://www.firesafemarin.org/plants/fire-prone/item/french-broom for more information on this weed. After the project, those that are interested could take a short hike to an old growth redwood.
