Calling all Harvard entrepreneurs to participate. Applications are open!

The Bay Area Alumni Clubs of all the Harvard schools have come together to offer a regional "One Harvard" New Venture Competition (1HNVC). The program will offer qualified applicants an opportunity to present to a large group of VC and Angel investors, receive free software, products, and services, and compete for cash prizes. In 2019, over $1 million of prizes were awarded to competing startups. Applicants will also receive curated mentoring from HBSANC StartUp Partners prior to the 1HNVC (date and location of competition TBA). Click here to learn more about the 2019 1HNVC.

Eligibility and Rules:

  • Qualified applicants are required to have a Harvard alumnus (of any school) as a founder and a full-time member of the management team. The Harvard founder must be represented at all events and be the pitch lead. The company must have raised less than $2.5 million in capital and have lifetime revenues of less than $2 million. Startups that have participated before are eligible to compete again.
  • Regional application deadline: December 31, 2019; 11:59pm PST - any Harvard/HBS alum-founded startup interested in competing in the Bay Area Competition must submit their application by this deadline. Regional competition info and application will be posted soon.
  • HBS global applications also open on November 1st. Please note, only HBS alumni can participate in the HBS global competition. HBS startups must first participate in the Bay Area competition; winners advance to the HBS global competition. In order to participate in the global competition, HBS startups must also apply through the global application process by January 27, 2020.
