Healthcare CEO Series: An Evening with Vivian S. Lee, MD, PhD, MBA, President of Health Platforms at Verily
Vivian S. Lee, MD, PhD, MBA, has been a practicing physician, scientist, and health care administrator for more than two decades. President of Health Platforms at Verily (Alphabet’s health company), she is also a senior lecturer at Harvard Medical School. Formerly, she was dean of the University of Utah School of Medicine and CEO of University of Utah Health, a system recognized for its excellence and innovation in care. Educated at Harvard University, Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar, and New York University, she divides her time between Boston, New York, and San Francisco with her husband and four daughters.
Dr. Lee also recently published her new book "The Long Fix: Solving America’s Health Care Crisis with Strategies That Work for Everyone", where she proposes a concrete plan of action for healthcare reform, that creates a less costly and healthier system for all. The book has rave reviews from Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google and several professors/thought leaders at various universities.
