HCSF Salon Talk Series: More Awesome Asian Americans

20 Citizens Who Energized America – an exciting Graphic Novel for Families (in-person only)

Join co-author, Oliver Chin (Harvard College, A.B., 1991). Volume 2 of this spectacularly illustrated anthology profiles of another 10 Asian-American women and 10 Asian-American men who have contributed to our country and the world.

Co-creator with Phil Amara (Boston Public elementary school teacher) and Juan Calle (illustrator of The Discovery of Ramen, Fireworks & Gunpowder, and Anime & Manga), Oliver shares their inspirations behind this socially relevant collection and read favorite excerpts.

Plus Oliver shows us how to create cool comic characters in a live drawing demonstration!

More Awesome Asian Americans is an excellent resource for both children and adults alike. It allows readers to discover new heroes and gain inspiration from the important contributions made by AAPI individuals in bettering our country. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in learning more about the diverse and impactful history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in America."
