Environment and Your Health
Join Dr. Kari C. Nadeau, M.D., Ph.D. & Chair, Department of Environmental Health, Harvard School of Public Health to learn how the environment impacts your personal health.
Protect your health! There are altered weather patterns across the globe, and the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as heat waves, droughts, sandstorms, wildfires, floods, and tropical storms are increasing. These changes are having both direct and indirect effects on health and disease. Environmental exposures like heat, contaminated water, drought, pollution, wildfires, infectious diseases and toxins lead to short term and long term diseases. We now have ways to reduce these risks through good diets and behaviors to lengthen our life and sustain good quality to life. We will have the opportunity to discuss more about how you can protect you and your families health despite many environmental exposures.
