Annual MBA/Ivy+ Charity Poker Tournament & Social Mixer

If you enjoyed the LA Fire Relief Event, you’ll want to join for this fabulous evening of Poker & Socializing in Hillsborough!

Join 100+ MBA/Ivy+ Alumni to Play Poker, Eat/Drink and Socialize at the fabulous Hillsborough Racquet Club.  This event is open to players and non-players. Bring a partner or friend.

A meaningful contribution will be made to the non-profit DignityMoves, which provides interim housing solutions to help address the homeless challenge in California and beyond.  Dignity moves is led by veteran Silicon Valley Executive Elizabeth Funk (HBS MBA Class of 1996).
 

This event will be co-hosted by Harvard Business School Association of Northern California, Harvard Club of Silicon Valley, Penn Club of Silicon Valley, Kellogg Alumni Club of San Francisco Bay Area, Columbia Alumni Association NorCal, Yale Club of Silicon Valley, Yale Club of SF, UCLA Bay Area Bruins Network, Oxford Alumni Network of NorCal, Cornell & London Business School, UC Berkeley Hass, UC Berkeley International, Brown Club of Greater San Francisco and Wharton Club of Northern California and MIT. Come meet fellow alumni who may live or work near you in the Peninsula Bay Area, make new friends, and have relaxed and interesting conversations.

Anjai "AJ" Gandhi

AJ is a B2B GTM executive and currently serves as Chief Growth Officer at Marlin Equity Partners ($9B+ AUM Private Equity Firm).  

Over his career, he has led growth acceleration strategy and go-to-market productivity improvement at 100+ companies primarily in the technology industry.

Previously, AJ was a member of the GTM leadership team at RingCentral and salesforce.com.  He also spent many years in management consulting (Bain, McKinsey and The Alexander Group) and has been an executive in 2 venture-backed companies.  AJ earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS Business Administration from UC Berkeley.

AJ serves on multiple non-profit Boards including the HBS Club of Northern California and is based in Hillsborough, CA.

Shalini Agarwal

Shalini is a seasoned Product Leader, advisor to Bay Area startups, and has successfully incubated and exited 0 to 1 product for Google Cloud and Google Workspace.  In her 16+ years at Google, she has built disruptive experiences across many verticals, most recently leading the Gemini Generative AI efforts spanning Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets and more.

Shalini has a track record of building high performing teams and being first to market in applying new technologies.  Prior to Google she was an Associate and McKinsey & Company.  Shalini holds a Bachelors and Master of Engineering in Computer Science from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  Shalini is located in San Francisco, CA.

Tito Pombra

Tito Pombra is President and Founder of Adviser Compliance Consulting.  He has extensive experience in the global asset management industry, which includes over 28 years in the investment company/investment adviser and international compliance areas.  He also serves as Co-Chair of the San Francisco Bay Area CCO Committee.

 

Elizabeth Funk

Elizabeth Funk is the Founder and CEO of  DignityMoves , an innovative nonprofit committed to ending unsheltered homelessness through disruptive and scalable solutions.

Elizabeth started her career as a Product Manager at Microsoft for the first version of Word for Windows and on the founding team of Microsoft Office. As one of the earliest employees at Yahoo! she helped shape the early consumer internet with services such as Yahoo! Finance, Search, Auctions, Greetings, Travel, and others. Most notably, Elizabeth was behind the creation of Yahoo! Shopping, a forerunner to the booming sector now known as e-commerce. She later served as President and CEO of CML Global Capital, a global public company with operations in Belize, Hong Kong, Canada and the US.

Elizabeth has been actively involved in homelessness in California for nearly two decades. She served on the board and chaired Glide Memorial’s Community Housing initiative, which built two buildings for the formerly homeless in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District and on the board of LifeMoves, a leading homelessness services organization in Silicon Valley.

Elizabeth is an active member of Young President’s Organization where she served on the International Board, co-founded the impact networks. Elizabeth holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar.
