Harvard MIT hike on Sweeney Ridge

Gorgeous views of the pacific ocean and the San Francisco Bay

Hike Description:
This is about a 7.8 mile hike path with impressive views of the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay. For hikers who prefer a shorter hike, you can turn around at the 2-mile mark (at the peak) for a 4-mile round trip. Experienced hikers can continue to complete the full 7.8 miles.

Distance: 3.9 miles one way (7.8 miles round trip)

Type: Out-and-back.

Highlights: After about 2 miles from the start, hikers will reach the top and be rewarded with a stunning 360° view of San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Parking: There are a few dedicated parking spots for the trials but could fill up fast. Street parking in the neighborhood nearby is available.
