HBS Networking with Pétanque, Coffee & Pastries
Pétanque is French sport similar to Italian Bocce. This will be a very intimate event suitable for newcomers and experienced players alike.
Join fellow HBS alumni for a relaxed and intimate networking morning centered around pétanque, a classic French sport similar to Italian bocce—easy to learn, highly social, and fun for all experience levels.
What to expect:
- HBS networking while learning and playing pétanque, one of the world’s most accessible and community-oriented sports.
- Coffee and pastries served to keep the conversations flowing.
- Expert instruction for newcomers provided by La Boule d'Or, the second-oldest pétanque club in the U.S. and the first on the West Coast.
- Enjoy the beauty of Golden Gate Park and its newly renovated pétanque courts.
Whether you’re brand new to the game or a seasoned player, this event offers a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and unwind in a beautiful setting.

The Pétanque Courts are located in Golden Gate Park, directly across from the GGP Dog Run.

Getting there:
Enter Golden Gate Park at 36th Avenue and Fulton Street
Take the first right turn inside the park onto what appears to be a service/maintenance road
Follow the road to the Pétanque Courts, located across from the dog run
Please allow a few extra minutes to navigate inside the park.
**Free street parking is generally available near the courts; please observe posted signage
