How do we define governance for the AI era? Join us for a high-signal governance conversation led by MIT alumnae who are building AI-native products and governing their deployment at the board level. This is a deep dive into the structural shifts facing boards across all sectors as they react to the AI revolution.

Diane Greene (MIT SM '78)Diane Greene (MIT SM '78):
Diane Greene is a transformative technology leader and entrepreneur. She co-founded VMware and served as CEO for a decade, pioneering mainstream x86 virtualization and leading the company through its acquisition by EMC and its subsequent IPO at a $19.1 billion valuation, the largest tech IPO of that year. She later joined the Google (now Alphabet) board of directors and went on to serve as CEO of Google Cloud, where she built out Google's first enterprise-capable business unit and scaled it to an $8 billion annualized revenue run rate. Her boardroom experience spans Alphabet, SAP, Stripe, Intuit, A.P. Moller Maersk, Wix.com, and Khan Academy. She served as Chair of the MIT Corporation, the first woman to hold the role, and continues as Chair Emerita and a Life Member. She is also an elected member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering.
 

Sonita Lontoh (MIT MLOG '04)Sonita Lontoh (MIT MLOG '04): 
Sonita Lontoh sits at the intersection of AI governance, board leadership, and Fortune 100 operating experience. She serves on the boards of Sunrun, the largest U.S. consumer solar and battery company, and TrueBlue, a global workforce-solutions leader — placing her at two epicenters of AI's economic impact: energy and people. She is a Partner at Alpha, an AI governance firm, and a guest lecturer at Stanford Law School. Previously, she held C-suite roles at HP, Siemens, and venture-backed Silicon Valley firms. A champion of technology for humanity, she has been recognized by the White House, the U.S. State Department, the Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times. Sonita earned her engineering and business degrees from MIT, UC Berkeley, and Northwestern’s Kellogg.

Carolina Garcia Rizo, PhD, MBA, is an executive, venture builder, and board member operating at the convergence of AI, life sciences, and quantum computing. She serves on the board of QuantPi (trustworthy AI) and is the Founder of Deep Frontier Ventures and Co-Founder of ONCore Venture Studio. She previously served as Chief Business Officer of Just Biotherapeutics, leading the exit and commercial integration with Evotec, and at Immuneering (NASDAQ: IMRX). Earlier, she was Head of Business Development for Oncology and Genomics at Roche, and led market turnarounds at Cepheid (Danaher). A former Fulbright Fellow at UC Berkeley with a PhD in Atomic and Molecular Physics and an MIT Sloan MBA, she co-authored The Digital and In Silico Therapeutics Revolution and was recognized as a Remarkable Woman in AI.
