HCSF Saturday San Francisco Hike #4 of 6: Telegraph Hill and North Beach
Join fellow HCSF members for a winter urban hike through some of San Francisco’s most distinctive neighborhoods.
Starting near the waterfront, we’ll climb the famous Filbert Street Steps to Telegraph Hill and Coit Tower, descend through the hidden stairways and gardens, and continue through North Beach. Along the way we’ll enjoy city and Bay views while getting plenty of exercise without worrying about muddy winter trails. The route will be approximately three miles with a number of stairs and hills, and we’ll maintain a comfortable pace with plenty of opportunity for conversation. The emphasis is as much on meeting and talking with fellow alumni as it is on the hike itself.
Meet at 2:00 pm at Levi’s Plaza, 1155 Battery Street, near the base of the Filbert Street steps. Look for Dan Beck (HBS MBA 2009) in his black Harvard Business School section fleece. We’ll plan to finish around 4:00 pm, with the option to continue socializing in North Beach afterward.
There will be two additional Saturday SF hikes from 2pm – 4 pm in this series: January 9 (Mount Davidson), and Bernal Heights (February 6).
