Women's Health x AI: Inside the Models Redefining CareWomen's Health x AI: Inside the Models Redefining Care

Join HBSANC and Doximity for a conversation with physicians, researchers, and builders working to improve how AI serves women’s health.

Collaborating alumni associations: Harvard Club of San Francisco, HBS Women's Association, HB Healthcare Alumni Association, Chicago Booth, Kellogg Executive Women's Network

As AI models are increasingly embedded in clinical decision-making and becoming the front door to healthcare for patients, how do we ensure that these tools adequately serve women and their health care needs?

AI is moving through healthcare at an unprecedented pace, with nearly a third of U.S. adults now using AI chatbots for health information (Rock Health) and two-thirds of physicians using AI daily or weekly in clinical care (Doximity 2026 Physician Compensation Report). In an under-researched and under-invested space like women's health, AI has tremendous potential for scientific discoveries and to democratize access to personalized information. However, AI models are largely trained on existing data, and women’s health has historically been under-researched and under-funded.

Nichole Young-Lin, MD, MBANichole Young-Lin, MD, MBA

Dr. Nichole Young-Lin is an obstetrician-gynecologist and the Clinical Lead for Consumer Health GenAI and Women's Health at Google. At the forefront of digital health innovation, she shapes the product development, clinical research, and rigorous evaluation of generative AI experiences, including Google Health's personal health coaching and the Gemini app.

As a practicing safety-net OB/GYN, Dr. Young-Lin uniquely bridges frontline clinical reality with scalable AI technology. Her global health background includes advising the World Health Organization and co-founding an international maternal health nonprofit. Dr. Young-Lin holds an MD from UCSF, an MBA from Duke, and completed her residency at Stanford, where she continues to serve as adjunct faculty.

Jayaraman, MD

Dr. Tanvi Jayaraman is the Clinical Lead of Health AI at Oura, where she bridges medicine, artificial intelligence, and product strategy to advance responsible, trustworthy tools for everyday health. Her work ensures that Oura’s guidance—whether member- or clinician-facing—meets rigorous clinical standards while remaining intuitive and human-centered.

Before joining Oura, Dr. Jayaraman helped global diagnostics and pharmaceutical clients scale AI from pilots to production while at Bain & Company, and previously contributed to Apple's clinical team and helped shape early concepts for next-generation digital health tools. She has advised digital-health startups on clinical, regulatory, and genAI product strategy. At Stanford School of Medicine, she served as Women’s Clinic Lead at the Arbor Free Clinic and was one of two inaugural fellows in Stanford Health Care’s Healthcare Leadership & Administration fellowship, partnering with the Office of the CEO on system-level initiatives.

Her academic work spans clinician well-being and value-added medical education. She co-founded and staffed the Stanford Front Line COVID-19 Consult Service, an evidence synthesis program that rapidly answered clinicians’ questions during the pandemic. Earlier, as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Calabria, Italy, Dr. Jayaraman investigated barriers to care for survivors of intimate partner violence—work that informs her patient-first approach to technology and health equity.
