AI Alignment: How do we make sure AI stays honest, safe and actually does what we intend? (Aging Well SIG)
As AI systems become more capable, a question once confined to research labs is now shaping all of our lives: how do we ensure these systems actually do what we intend and remain honest and safe as they grow more powerful? Welcome to the world of AI Alignment.
Join the Harvard Club of SF and an expert in the field of AI Alignment.
In this event, we will:
- Explore the challenge of AI alignment: Why ensuring AI does what we intend—not just what we ask—is far more difficult than it sounds.
- Uncover the safeguards and the unknowns: What researchers are doing to make AI safer and more trustworthy, and which critical questions remain unanswered.
- Examine the rise of AI-enabled deception: How it is evolving, why it matters to us all, and how we can prepare for a future increasingly shaped by AI.
Come curious. Leave with a new perspective on AI, the challenges ahead, and our role in shaping its future.
