Many talented and successful people reach a plateau after maximizing their skills and knowledge instinctively. They find themselves stuck searching for something more significant. To begin the next ascent, they must once again in their lives become open learners so they can rise to new heights beyond their original perspective. But how do they safely break from the patterns that brought them success to accomplish a legacy of significance without putting their existing life at risk?
The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Silicon Valley has partnered with bestselling author and Inc. Columnist, Kevin Daum, to create a 4-part series that is efficient, entertaining, and memorable. Each workshop will help DAASV members to identify a preferred future and leverage their peers, skills, and community to create a lasting legacy of significance.
Each of the highly interactive workshops will be linear; however, they will also stand on their own for those who pick and choose from the events. Those people who attend all 4 events will get a well-rounded perspective on the main topic. Those who attend an event or two will get depth in that particular evening’s subject. Attendees will receive light pre-work information to set the tone of the evenings.
After the workshop portion, attendees may stay to network and discuss questions with the Mr Daum. Others may choose to go to a pre-planned after-hours dinner with the Mr Daum.
Session 1 - Expansive Thinking
In this session, attendees will learn how thinking big is relative to your starting point. Harvard alums should be destined to do great things. We’ll make sure you are thinking great, not just good. You will participate in interactive exercises with peers designed to demonstrate the limits of your current approach and open new perspective on whom you can be and what you can accomplish in the future.
