The Harvard Club of San Francisco and the Yale Technology Club's San Francisco Chapter are joining forces to host a very special evening of exclusive wine tastings at a private residence in the Castro district of SF. Eli Salomon, President Elect of the HCSF, will be leading us through a vertical tasting of two top estates, Chateau Pontet-Canet in Bordeaux, and Joseph Phelps (Insignia) in Napa. We will taste four vintages from each winery covering 8 wines total with an average cost per bottle of roughly $200 and Robert Parker ratings from mid 90s -100 points.

This event is open to all levels of wine enthusiasts, from beginners to aficionados, and Eli will be providing background and information in a digestible way for all. This event is focused on fostering greater collaboration and deeper relationships between the Harvard and Yale technology communities in Silicon Valley and will be limited to no more than 48 people, roughly half from each school, who are currently working at tech or health tech startups, VC funds, large corporates, or advisory firms (law / banking / etc).

We will be tasting four vintages featuring select years from estates in the regions mentioned above (specific tasting menu to be updated in the coming weeks). Tickets will be offered at a rate of $75 dollars with 10% of proceeds going to Miracle Messages, an award winning organization helping homeless individuals reconnect with family and friends and a high success rate for finding stable housing for participants.

The tasting will take place from 7:30pm to 9:30pm on Friday, November 4th at the home of Matthew King, Harvard College '08/Yale School of Management '15, located at 178 States Street, San Francisco, just below Corona Heights Park.

Vintages we will be tasting: Chateau Pontet-Canet 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2006; Joseph Phelps "Insignia" 2003, 2005, 2009, 2010.

Who: Harvard and Yale graduates working at tech/healthcare startups, investing in tech/healthcare companies, or working at publicly traded tech/healthcare companies
What: Exclusive vertical wine tasting of eight vintages of ~$200 botttles of wine from Bordeaux and Napa Valley
Why: Fostering greater collaboration and deeper relationships between the Harvard and Yale technology communities
