Please join fellow alumni from Harvard, MIT, and CMU on a hike along the Crystal Spring reservoir on Saturday, April 4th.

Please join fellow alumni from Harvard, MIT, and CMU on a leisurely social hike along the shores of the Crystal Spring reservoir. It brings you right up to the gorgeous Crystal Springs and San Andreas lakes. Even for the Bay Area, this area is exceptionally beautiful. Restrooms are available at the trailhead, and also along the trail. Dogs are not permitted on this trail!

What to Bring: Have a good breakfast! Bring snacks and enough water! Sunglasses and a hat are recommended.

Direction: Take 280 north or south to exit 36, Black Mt. Rd/Haynes Rd and turn west. At T junction, follow sign pointing left to Sawyer Camp Trail. Proceed 1.3 mi to the trailhead on the right. Park along the street and meet inside the gate.


Carpooling: Carpooling is highly recommended. We encourage you to register your car which will give opportunities for alumni who don’t have a car to come. Please register yourself here: https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/ofsjbi


Rain Policy: If it's raining significantly, the hike is off. If the weather is ambiguous, we will send out an email on the morning of the hike.


Registration Limit: 20 per school. 60 total. Outdoor events can be quite popular, and we frequently end up with people on the waitlist. To allow as many people to attend as possible, please RSVP only if you definitely plan on attending. If an unforeseen event happens that makes you unable to attend, please let the event organizer know, so we can give your spot to someone on the waitlist.
