About the Speaker:

Annabel Hertz is the founder of Goodbuy Sugar, and hopes to spark a mini-culinary revolution by sharing information on low-sugar foods and lifestyles. She was driven to create Goodbuy Sugar after learning she was prediabetic and beginning a mission to reduce her carb intake while still enjoying sweets.

Ms. Hertz is a writer, consultant and former executive with think tanks and internationally-focused NGOs. Her background spans communications, business development, research, strategy, branding and coaching. Her start-up experience includes revitalizing an international women’s leadership organization and co-pioneering a green investment facility recognized by the US government and Congress for innovation.

She holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and an MA in International Relations from San Francisco State. She has taught graduate courses and completed doctoral level training in International Relations.
