Tutor Refugees with 1951 Coffee Company in Oakland!

Our community service event at 1951 Coffee Company will kick off with a discussion about the important work 1951 does with the Bay Area's refugee community.  Doug Hewitt, 1951's CEO, will be leading the conversation with 1951's Cafe Manager.

After the conversation, we'll do a mock customer session with youth refugees in 1951's practice cafe, and you'll get all the free coffee you can drink! This will be a very memorable and unique experience, and you'll have an opportunity to help refugees who have fled oppression from all over the world.

1951 Coffee Company is a non-profit specialty coffee organization seeking to promote the well-being of the refugee community in the Bay Area. 1951 provides job training and employment to refugees and asylees while educating the surrounding community about refugee life and issues.
