Pt. Reyes Coastal Wildflower Hike

2025 is predicted to be a superbloom year. "Superbloom” happens when seeds that have laid dormant in the soil begin to germinate and blossom all at once.

Back by popular demand! We can't promise how much will be in bloom, but come take take a gorgeous hike from Bear Valley out to the coastal trail. The trail is a flat and easy out-and-back, about 9 miles total but you can turn back at any point. The trail is both sunny and shaded, so dress in layers and bring water and snacks. Suitable for all hiking levels.

Stay for dinner or a late lunch in Pt Reyes station at the Side Street Kitchen, Cafe Reyes or the Pt. Reyes Roadhouse. Or treat yourself to Brickmaiden Breads at their outdoor patio.

Enter "Bear Valley Visitor Center" into your GPS and it will take your directly to the parking lot. See picture above; the sign by the gate will be our meeting point.
